About your hosts…

We are Bryan and Lisa. We live in the greater Tampa area and have enjoyed visiting Mount Dora over the years. We fell in love with the ambiance, restaurants, shops and activities that Mount Dora has to offer. January 2026, we became the new owners of The Slack House. This charming duplex was built in 1912 and is registered with Mount Dora’s Historic Preservation Board. The historic significance, location and quirky design of the house spoke to us and we are thrilled to become part of this wonderful community. We understand that you have many options to stay while you are visiting Mount Dora, and would be honored to have you stay with us. We know how important it is to feel at home while you are on vacation, and it is our goal to make that happen. We hope you fall in love with this quaint city and choose to stay with us when you visit Mount Dora.

A colorful mural showing a happy couple holding wine glasses in Mount Dora, Florida. The background features a blue house, palm trees, a sign for Mount Dora, and a small airplane flying above. There are also signs pointing to the Lakeside Inn, boat tours, and Donnelly Street, along with a smiling pelican wearing a captain's hat, and various scenic details like a train, lighthouse, and orange trees.
